Threatened Species

  • Field survey
  • Recovery planning
  • Ecological research
  • Monitoring

Wildland Consultants Ltd have undertaken a diverse range of threatened species projects in New Zealand, and this experience also extends to other countries. Staff have undertaken many surveys for threatened species and developed (and applied) management requirements for a wide range of threatened plants (e.g. Dactylanthus), avifauna, bats, and fish. Key staff have written and contributed to recovery plans (e.g. the first recovery plan for a threatened plant species in New Zealand), produced management guidelines for the management of kiwi and kereru, written species (and ecosystem) restoration plans, and are currently key technical advisors for threatened species management (e.g. pateke or brown teal, kiwi).
